Apprentice Librarian
Welcome!
I developed this site mainly to be an experimental ground to play with the Drupal content management system, but also to provide a landing page for my various digital endeavors.
I received my Masters of Library and Information Science from Southern Connecticut State University in December 2011 focusing on reference, instruction, and technology in academic libraries. My original interest in archives and digitization in general led me to become the Digital Archivist at Voices of September 11th where I managed their large collection of digital tribute materials for the victims of the 9/11 attacks. That position recently ended when funding for my salary became unavailable. Therefore I am seeking new employment, either in the academic library arena or something related to digital asset management.
Some upcoming projects for me during this period will be restarting my Apprentice Librarian blog, a complete overhaul and redesign of this site, embarking on some historical research projects I've been sitting on for a while.
